Guidance for Loved Youth Foster Care Services Inc. was founded in 2021 with the goal of offering support to youth experiencing social, emotional, physical and intellectual behavioural issues. We offer supervised access visits, adult day programming, staffing support and foster parent/mentoring opportunities. Guidance for Loved Youth is Canadian owned and operated, with a foundation rooted in equity, diversity and inclusion. We view our youths’ as capable, competent, unique individuals who bring amazing qualities and knowledge to our community. Our services are available to customers throughout Durham Region in Ontario, Canada.

Our Goals
  • To evaluate and plan for the behavioral needs of Clients at cognitive level.
  • To provide accessible, effective, and efficient behavioral services to behavioural needs.
  • To advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with behavioral, mental health or on the spectrum.
  • To engage in active to assure prevention, early intervention, and coordination of skills to reduce the impact of behavioural challenges for Clients 40%
  • To measure the outcome of Clients behaviours by providing effective strategies and skills to their day to day life.
Our Culture

There are many struggles our youths face when trying to understand who they are. With our community partnerships and support personnel, we are able to assist with LGBTQ, correct pronouns, race and spiritual beliefs by cultural competence. The four components we implement are:

  • Knowledge of different cultural practices
  • Worldviews on cross-cultural skills
